Joy Zampell
Lower Elementary Teacher
 Joy Zampell spent her childhood years in
Wenham, Massachusetts a small town north of
Boston. She graduated from Saint Michael’s
College in Vermont with BA in Elementary
Education.
Since she herself attended a Montessori
school for grades K-3, Ms. Zampell had always
had in interest in teaching through this method.
After spending many months backpacking through
Central America and Europe, she began her
Montessori training through CMTE. Throughout the
course of her training Ms. Zampell worked as a
Teacher’s Assistant at Harborlight Montessori,
the very school that she attended as a child!
Upon finishing her training, Miss Zampell began
working at Eliot in the fall of 2005.
